Something New: Glass and PMC

I’ve been working with precious metal clay for over a year now and have really enjoyed combining this easy to use material with my glass work. At first, I simply made components to add to my jewelry creations but now I am branching out and using the glass and pmc together. What an exciting adventure this is! Yeap….I’ve made loads of mistakes but these mistakes have given me valuable knowledge, so I am grateful for them.

I think it was last year that I was watching HGTV, I love that channel, and saw a lady make a glass cupcake ring. It was very cute indeed but I was thinking about what I could do with this concept. So I’ll show you my first try……

Cute isn’t it? I’ve got plans for more & I know my technique will improve along the way.

Along with components to things I’ve also been exploring using glass & pmc together. I have an example below as to what I mean. I love this!!! This is actually my second try at it ….my first was…….lets just say a first. I’ve enjoyed this mixed media approach to my glass work but this is definitely a time consuming endeavor.
